RETURN TO A MODERN ERA
Our recent renovation project for a pair of retirees was a delightful endeavor that beautifully combined modern comforts with the timeless elegance of a historic property. After moving into their charming Federation home, built in 1905, the clients sought to upgrade the access bathroom to reflect both their personal taste and the period character of their new residence. They envisioned a space that honored the home’s historic roots while incorporating contemporary amenities for their convenience.
We embraced the challenge of harmonising modern functionality with Federation style, carefully selecting materials and fixtures that complement the home’s architectural heritage. The result is a stunning bathroom that respects the property’s historical significance while offering the retirees a comfortable and stylish retreat that enhances their everyday living experience.
We took extra precautions to navigate the complexities of the existing concrete floor hydronic heating system, which presented significant challenges for our Team. The need to preserve and integrate this specialised heating system required careful planning and precise execution. Our team meticulously assessed the layout and adjusted our renovation approach to ensure that the new design would compliment and accommodate the intricate network of pipes embedded in the concrete. This careful coordination not only preserved the efficiency of the hydronic heating but also ensured that our renovation seamlessly integrated with the existing infrastructure, maintaining the home’s comfort and functionality throughout the process.
